Holy Family HTX - Episcopal Church

This may be my most exciting project to date. It all began when Fr. Jacob Breeze of Holy Family HTX reached out to me, telling me that his parish had purchased a meat-packing plant and were renovating it to be a church. This became my main work for over a year.

Design

It started with a design phase where Fr. Jacob described what he was looking for over a video call. He was able to provide some inspiration images, but also a general vibe he was going for and design principles he appreciated.

Prototyping

The pews were the main element and it needed to be prototyped before going into production of 64 individual benches. Fr. Jacob made the drive from Houston to Austin to look at them in person and sit in them himself.

Production

Then came full production mode. In the end the project included 64 pews, an art gallery bench, tabernacle, two credence tables, an entrance table, and a processional cross.

Dedication Service

Upon completion I was invited to attend a dedication service where their Bishop blessed the Church. I was honored to be included by name both in their liturgy and program.
